The Hair & Skin Clinic

Welcome to the Hair & Skin Clinic's fabulous fine print – where even our legal jargon is designed to make you look and feel good! Just like our treatments, our terms and conditions are here to ensure a smooth and stunning experience.
  1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 “The Hair & Skin Clinic Limited,” referred to as “TH&SC” or the “Company,” is identified by Company Number ###.

1.2 “Patient Information” encompasses the information furnished by TH&SC to patients through brochures, letters, and electronic communication.

1.3 “Procedure” denotes the medical procedure to be performed by a Surgeon engaged by the patient, who possesses a Practicing Privileges Agreement, Surgeon’s Contract, or another authorization for medical procedural activities at TH&SC premises. For patients at external facilities, contracts are with the respective facilities for in-patient episodes.

1.4 “Surgeon” designates an individual representing themselves as a qualified medical practitioner registered with the General Medical Council.

1.5 “Patient” refers to any individual who has entered into a contract with TH&SC for the non-surgical aspects of a Procedure, with surgical outcomes being the responsibility of the contracted Surgeon. For patients at external facilities, contracts are with the facility for the in-patient episode.

1.6 “Non-Surgical aspects of a procedure” cover services provided by TH&SC, including premises, theaters, preoperative assessments, and post-operative nursing care. It excludes pre-operative and post-operative consultations, advice, and treatments (including medication and patient discharge decisions), which remain under the admitting practitioner’s purview. For patients at external facilities, contracts are with the facility for in-patient care.

1.7 “Pre-booking” indicates bookings and payments made before Consultation.

1.8 “Initial Aftercare Period” signifies aftercare included in the Procedure cost.

1.9 “Cost” refers to the Total Surgery Price detailed in the quotation.

1.10 “Consultation” is a pre-operative meeting between the patient, the patient care coordinator, and/or the Surgeon, assessing the patient’s suitability for the Procedure. Advice from the Patient Care Coordinator or staff should be considered as general, non-medical information.

1.11 “Premises” includes any hospital, clinic, or other building under TH&SC’s ownership, occupation, or management.

1.12 “External facilities” are facilities not owned by TH&SC.

1.13 “Further Surgery” denotes additional surgery performed after the initial operation, either included in the original cost or incurring additional fees.

  1. OBLIGATIONS AND WARRANTIES

2.1 TH&SC warrants that prior to granting Practicing Privileges or a Surgeon’s Contract, it verifies a person’s registration with the General Medical Council and receives a current private practice indemnity insurance cover Certificate. TH&SC does not typically obtain full policy documents and does not make warranties regarding their content. Patients at external facilities should ensure the facility holds this documentation for any Practitioner attending during the in-patient episode.

2.2 All Surgeons, as self-employed contractors, are responsible for maintaining General Medical Council registration and private practice medical indemnity insurance. Patients are encouraged to independently verify the Surgeon’s status before any Procedure.

2.3 Surgeon fees are included in the quoted price, with separate invoicing by the Surgeon and hospital. Additional fees may apply for Further Surgery.

2.4 Patients agree that TH&SC bears no liability for surgical aspects performed by the Surgeon.

2.5 Patients warrant they will read the provided patient information to understand potential outcomes, risks, and benefits.

2.6 TH&SC provides prescribed post-operative medication relevant to the Procedure; any medication not included in the quotation becomes the patient’s responsibility. Patients at external facilities receive post-operative medication directly. Specialist medication or non-adherence consequences are not covered.

  1. PATIENT’S OBLIGATIONS

3.1 The contract is contingent on patient acceptance by the Surgeon, based on information shared during the consultation. Surgery discretion lies with the Surgeon and TH&SC.

3.2 Patients must read provided information to grasp potential Procedure outcomes.

3.3 Compliance with post-operative instructions is mandatory.

3.4 Patients must inform TH&SC of concerns before publicizing them on public platforms.

3.5 Patients agree to adhere to the aftercare process, even if it’s not their nearest geographic clinic.

3.6 TH&SC may withdraw aftercare if patients don’t follow instructions or seek unqualified care.

3.7 Clinical staff availability is not 24/7; calls and appointments depend on staff and clinic availability.

3.8 Patients must provide necessary medical information for safety and GDPR compliance.

3.9 Any changes to surgery require consultation with the Surgeon/Patient Care Coordinator, subject to standard terms and conditions.

3.10 Patients may waive the 14-day cooling-off period with available disclaimers.

3.11 Patients may self-discharge with disclaimers, assuming all risks and consequences.

3.12 Patient Care Coordinators are not doctors or surgeons; their advice is general and non-medical.

3.13 Queries should be addressed during consultations with qualified professionals.

3.14 Patients must provide honest, accurate, complete health history to ensure safety.

3.15 Payment is required at least 30 days before surgery.

3.16 Consultations and surgical procedures require a minimum age of 18.

3.17 Patients are responsible for understanding and asking questions about signed consents.

  1. GENERAL OBLIGATIONS

4.1 TH&SC may alter admission dates and appointments, with no consequential loss liability.

4.2 Patients confirm understanding and consent by signing Terms and Pre-Operative Medical Notes before surgery.

7.4 “Pre-booked” appointments follow cancellation and refund policies.

  1. COMPLAINTS/AFTERCARE

8.1 Complaints procedure is available on request. Patients should discuss concerns with Patient Care Coordinators initially.
